Duration: 80 hours (10 days)

  • 40 hours online (4 hours per day for 5 days with an intermediate break of 1 or 2 hours)
  • 40 hours at the generator, 5 groups (6 students)

NOTE: Number of participants 30 for 40 hours of practice on the generator.

CONTENTS

MODULE 1: PRINCIPLES OF GENERATION

Lesson 1.1: Fundamentals of electrical generation, main generator components, field, frequency, rotating magnetic field, armature, phase, voltage and stator core.

Lesson 1.2: Three-phase voltage, magnetic field and voltage strength, stator winding voltage, rotor elements and windings, flux density and rotor.

Lesson 1.3: Stator core, stator laminations, stator windings, armature windings, winding types and processes.

MODULE 2: EXCITATION SYSTEMS

Lesson 2.1: Voltage regulator, diodes, varistor.

Lesson 2.2: Self-excited generator, PMG permanent magnet generator, AREP generator.

MODULE 3: REGULATION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS

Lesson 3.1: Types of Voltage Regulators.

MODULE 4: CONTROL PANELS

Lesson 4.1: EMCP II+ control panel.

Lesson 4.2: EMCP 3, EMCP 4 control board.

MODULE 5: GENERATOR MAINTENANCE

Lesson 5.1: SR4 Generator Maintenance

CERTIFICATION

At the end of the training, a certificate with official value supported by the Ministry of Education of Panama (MEDUCA) through the Instituto Superior de Ingeniería and Grupo MAKRO S.A. (International Certification) will be awarded.
