(Grupo MAKRO Press) – As part of our social responsibility policy we support and promote sports in Panamanian youth, which is why we participated as sponsors of the DFT-Real Oviedo Soccer Camp and were present at the selection of the players who will travel to Spain on scholarship for the foundation.
The event was held at the Luis Ernesto “Cascarita” Tapia stadium and was attended by the CEO President of Grupo MAKRO, Walber Castillo and the Commercial Manager of the Instituto Superior de Ingeniería, Yanilet Carrillo.
The Dream For Tomorrow Foundation (DFT Foundation), whose objective is to promote soccer as a tool for social transformation, is responsible for the presence of Real Oviedo in Panama through the Soccer Camp that took place from June 13 to 17 at the Cascarita Tapia Stadium.
The Real Oviedo Soccer Camp lasted five days and was attended by around 250 Panamanian children and adolescents between 10 and 18 years of age, who had the opportunity to live the experience of training with Real Oviedo professionals and Panamanian coaches who helped them to improve their skills and knowledge.
At the end, a selection process was carried out where two winners were chosen who will travel to Spain to live the experience of training with Real Oviedo.
In MAKRO Group we not only encourage the educational growth of our Panamanian youth, we also want to contribute to the integral development of young people, not only in sports performance but also in values, respect, discipline, responsibility and perseverance to achieve results.
