Grupo MAKRO trained operators of the Buriticá mine in Zijin-Continental Gold Colombia

(MAKRO Group Press) – The process of training workers has become an essential tool for all companies, especially in modern mining, where it is increasingly important not only the technical preparation but also that they know the advances related to safety and health issues in the processes of mining work.
Working conditions and the introduction of technologically advanced equipment are placing increasing demands on the qualifications of mine workers, making it important to train personnel to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently.
For this reason, operators of the Buriticá mine of Zijin-Continental Gold Colombia, received training from Grupo MAKRO, in order to enhance their knowledge of new technological advances, always emphasizing the correct use of safety equipment, which leads to a more effective performance in the work area.
For Grupo MAKRO the adoption of a safety program based on optimal behavior further protects the most valuable resource of a company, its employees, while having a positive impact on productivity.

Finally, it is worth noting that Zijin-Continental Gold’s Buriticá Mine is the most important large-scale subway gold mining development in Colombia. The mine is located in the municipality of Buriticá, in northwestern Antioquia.
Buriticá is one of the largest high purity gold projects in the world and its production phase started in the second half of 2020. It has mineral reserves of 3.7 million ounces of gold with 8.4 g/t gold (13.7 million tons).
