In the following video, Alexander Cedeño, tells us about his experience during the classroom practices, a fundamental part and final phase of our Heavy Machinery courses.

Hydraulic Excavator practical module starts

(Grupo MAKRO Press) – A new group of young people began their practices in the Hydraulic Excavator modality, as part of the Heavy Machinery courses offered by the Instituto Superior de Ingeniería with the help of our partner school Grupo MAKRO in Panama.

The objective of these practices is that future operators take to the field what they have learned during the theoretical training process.

Once the practical training period is over, students will take a knowledge test to finally receive a certificate that certifies them as Heavy Machinery Operator in the specialty of Hydraulic Excavator, a certificate that has international endorsement, which will open the doors to a wide labor market.

It is important to highlight that Grupo MAKRO has become the leading school in the training of Heavy Equipment Operators, with more than 20 courses in different machinery and presence in 9 countries, standing out for its commitment to the safety of its students.

(Press MAKRO Group) – As part of the corporate services offered by MAKRO Group, operators of the company Prominerales SAS, located in Puerto Berrio, Colombia, received training in heavy machinery last August.

The training, provided by Comfenalco Antioquia, was based on Safety Rules and Fundamentals, Defensive Handling in Heavy Equipment Operation Processes, Operating Techniques and Safety Procedures, techniques that lead to a more effective performance in the work area.

During the training process, which lasted 10 hours, 15 operators participated, all of them with mine experience.
It should be noted that our training programs include theoretical and other field activities that will help your personnel to operate heavy machinery more productively and safely.

Finally, for Grupo MAKRO the adoption of a safety program based on optimal behavior further protects a company’s most valuable resource, its employees, while having a positive impact on productivity.

Practical module of Articulated Truck began in Panama

(MAKRO Group Press) – A new group of young people began practices in the Articulated Truck modality as part of the heavy machinery courses that are taught at our headquarters in Panama City.

The practices are part of the final module of the training which corresponds to the operation or handling of the equipment in the field, in addition to the two previous modules which are safety and maintenance of the equipment.

During the training, the future operators acquired fluency in the joint use of the retarder, engine brake and service brake of the vehicle, in addition to deepening their knowledge of efficient driving.

At the end of the course they will be able to operate this large machinery with total safety and dexterity.
In MAKRO Group we know the importance of this real driving training so that those aspiring to professional licenses, leave our school well prepared.

During the training process, the large group of young people receive theoretical and practical training, acquiring knowledge about lifting loads, the operational parameters of the equipment, technical standards and safety aspects.

The good practices acquired, thanks to this eminently practical training, also make it possible to avoid and reduce occupational risks arising from operations with machines, and to focus on the proper use and maintenance of the machine, maximizing productivity and fuel efficiency while avoiding costly downtime and providing learners with a bottom line advantage.

(Press MAKRO Group) – For MAKRO Group one of the strategic objectives is to accompany our graduates in their process of insertion and training for working life, providing them with spaces, opportunities and tools that allow them to strengthen their skills, encouraging their growth and professional projection.

In this opportunity Jhon Fredy Ramos Cifuentes, a graduate operator of Grupo MAKRO, received training in the Miniloader modality by the instructor Pedro Osorio with the objective of adapting his knowledge and training to the characteristics of the labor field.

The training consisted of performing various tasks such as: area inspection, equipment inspection, filling out ATS, verifying movements, lifting and raising simulated loads, moving simulated loads and simulating material movement and unloading, common tasks for an operator during his working day.

With this type of complementary courses we seek to strengthen the skills of our graduates to enable them to have better opportunities to enter and remain in the labor market.
